• Members of the Director's Circle:  annual donations of $1,000+ year
• Individual members:  $60 to $250/year.  Life membership is $500

Partners, Assistance & Advising Opportunities:

• National Representatives.  We are seeking alumni who will be our "eyes & ears" in a given country or region.
• Outreach Agents.  Can you represent FAST at professional or trade conferences and meetings?
• Grantwriters:  Are you writing a grant?  Perhaps Fulbright alumni can be involved in your research, this helps promote FAST and your Fulbright.
• Project Leaders:  Do you have a project that could benefit from FAST expertise?  FAST has experience organizing conferences and managing grants.
• Expertise:  Are you seeking speakers, foreign partners, research partners or experts?  The FAST network may contain the person(s) that you are seeking.

Sponsors:

• Table Sponsors at the Gala Dinner on opening night of the Annual Conference - $1,500/table of eight
• Registration Sponsors so young or low-income alumni/grantees can attend at reduced rates - $300/person
• Internship Sponsors so young alumni can receive a stipend when volunteering for FAST - $600/intern
• Forum Sponsors so FAST can organize a small forum and reception in your community - $750 - $1,500/forum
• Newsletter Sponsors to underwrite broader distribution of our publications - $750/newsletter
• Ambassador-level Sponsors for the Annual Conference - $10,000+/conference
• Film Festival Sponsor so FAST can continue organizing an annual Fulbright Film Festival - $2,500 to $7,500
• Exhibitor Sponsor so FAST can be an exhibitor at a major international science conference - $5,000+

Services:

• Printing.  Can your business print our quarterly newsletter (750 copies)? 
  
• Professional Networkers.  We need people to work with FAST on alumni services, such as creating a panel for a conference
• Writers.  For example, interview alumni and write articles for FAST publications
• Advisors.  We are seeking alumni to serve on the Board of Directors, the International Advisory Council or the Working Groups
• Graphics Designers.   For example, an alumnus designed our logo, and we need help with other publications.

Dreaming:

• There also are some project ideas that would require $100,000 to $1,000,000. 
  
• These could be funded by grants or donations.

The FAST Annual Campaign includes membership contributions and unrestricted as well as restricted donations from individuals. In 2008, individual contributions came from around the United States and other countries, including Austria, Australia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Israel, Mexico, Panama, Qatar, Romania, Spain, Singapore, UAE and United Kingdom. Our individual donors include  are current grantees or alumni; others are family of Fulbrighters or Friends of FAST.

Institutional and corporate members are entities that support the Academy's global mission and/or seek to use FAST service, such as our specialized advisory service on international research or the customized science research tours.  We also partner with institutions on conferences, meetings and symposiums. 

What Does Your Money Go Toward?

FAST raised over $25,000 from individual donors in 2008, representing just under $10% of our $306,000 income in that year. In 2009, because of the down economy, FAST only raised about$16,400.  Our goal for 2010 is $28,000.

Your donations to our Annual Campaign support FAST's mission to serve others by supporting programs, research initiatives, and numerous other activities that enrich the Fulbright Alumni Community. For example, your memberships and donations made it possible for FAST to offer reduced-rate or free registrations for lower-income Fulbrighters to our science & technology conferences and workshops in the US and around the world. Your contributions also underwrite the Fulbright Forums and networking programs.  Thank you all for your generous contributions.

Why Should You Contribute to FAST?

If your career or personal life was changed in a positive way by the Fulbright Exchange Program, you should certainly consider a donation to the Fulbright Academy. You also should give if you support our mission and the programs that FAST carries out.

How Can You Give?

Unrestricted Contributions: These gifts enable FAST to direct financial support where it is most needed. Unrestricted funds contribute to Special Programs such as the Annual Conference, Fulbright Forums, Outreach Programs, and Organizational Development.

Restricted Contributions: Donors direct their gifts to funds or purposes that hold personal meaning for them. Please contact the Development Office at programs@FulbrightAcademy.org or1-207-799-3098 for a list of restricted funds.

In-kind Contributions: Some alumni and Friends of FAST support our work through donations of products or services, from computer hardware/software to graphic design assistance.

Matching Contributions: Let us know if the company you work for matches employees' charitable gifts. Many US corporations will match your donation dollar-for-dollar.
