
The Second Annual Fulbright Academy Film Festival will be hosted by the University of Heidelberg (Germany) on Friday, March 18, 2011, with additional private screenings on Wednesday and Thursday. The festival is open to the public. The theme for the Fulbright Academy's March Conference is "Social Sciences," so films shown during the festival will address topics of relevance to social science. Topics for films in 2011 include: - Anthropology, Culture and Cultural preservation
- Psychology and Social Change
- Economic development
- Social Entrepreneurship
- Social Conflict and Conflict Resolution
One of the main auditoriums at the University has been reserved for the festival, allowing for an audience of 400+ on Friday night. This part of the festival will be open to the public. Private viewings on Wednesday and Thursday will be at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Nominations: Films should be under 30 minutes and related to social sciences in some way. Interesting Youtube videos, web marketing videos, and promotional videos can be submitted as well. The Film Festival Committee will begin the review of submissions in August 2010.
