Submitting Abstracts

Abstracts:  We are accepting abstracts from individuals who would like to participate in the conference - the poster session, the panels, and the round-table discussions.

The theme of the conference is how science and technology can be applied to the UN Millennium Development Goals. Please recall that “science” includes social science and related disciplines, such as political science, psychology, public administration, business management, law etc.

Ideally, your abstract should relate to one (or more) of the Millennium Development Goals

  • Eradicate extreme hunger and poverty
  • Improve maternal health
  • Promote gender equality & empower women
  • Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria & other diseases
  • Achieve universal primary education
  • Ensure environmental sustainability
  • Reduce child mortality
  • Develop a global partnership for development

Program design: The poster session will be similar to sessions held at scientific conferences. Panels are 90 minutes, with 4 presentations.  Round-table discussions are organized, yet informal, discussions that occur during meals.  Detailed guidelines will be available to those whose abstracts are accepted.
